Comments:
Situated on approximately 2,000 acres in the Suisun Marsh, the largest salt-water marsh in the United States, this project had many unique aspects requiring specialized research and planning. The project consists of a Nature Center with classroom, working lab and offices, combined with living quarters for visiting scientists, and a Caretakers apartment. With no access to public utilities, alternative sources of power were required, including: wind turbine, solar panels and propane generator. Terra Realty Advisors, Inc., as Project Manager, put together all proformas, researched and implemented alternative power sources, developed water sources and storage with complex filtering, oversaw all design components to ensure the project was “green”, to all extents possible, developed construction schedules and issued RFP’s and RFQ’s for all Project Professionals, implementing and overseeing all of their contracts and work through completion.
