As Project Manager, we worked with the City of Fairfield Redevelopment Agency and the County of Solano, to facilitate the master planning process for a new Downtown County Government Complex. This Phase 1 work included: establishing land uses, building areas, parking needs, and involved the coordination of Project Professionals including: a design and land planning architect, landscape architect, civil engineer, and cost estimator. The Project Manager facilitated this work to ascertain the overall parameters of what this Project would be, and matched those costs with available funds; forwarding these recommendations to the Board of Supervisors and the Fairfield City Council. The Project Manager coordinated and facilitated both internal and external interactions between all the parties during this process to ensure a timely conclusion, including regular meetings with the Downtown Merchants Association. The result of this process was the Solano County Board of Supervisors approved the project, and gave County staff authorization to continue developing the master-planned project, which was completed in 2004.
